My month of thanks giving

November has arrived-the month that draws to a close in America with the giving of thanks. I will be absent, for the very first time from this holiday with my family. I will be spending Thanksgiving in another country- a country that does not celebrate this holiday or recognize the God who is worthy of all thanks. Anna and I have decided to take on a challenge this month and capture our daily living with a picture each day. This project is normally done over the course of the year, but we decided trying it out for a month first would be a better idea. Each day this month I will post on both my blog and Facebook a picture to represent my day. In honor of Thanksgiving Anna and I have also challenged each other to find something to be thankful for each day- this month will be my month of thanks giving. It sounds really simple- it's easy to be thankful but I want to challenge myself to be intentionally thankful for specific things in my life. I pray that this will set up a pattern of thankfulness in my life. I have been out of the country for the last few days and have been unable to post my pictures, so enjoy the first few days of my month of thanks giving.

Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
November 1st, 2010: This was the first day of our trip to Paris. We were fortunate enough to have a 7 hour layover in Rome, Italy so being the adventure seekers that we are, we decided to sneak out of the airport and do some exploring. This would be the infamous Colosseum.

Thank of the day: The boldness Anna and I have developed through God's grace in the last eleven weeks. While in Rome we successfully navigated the public metro- which was a huge victory. The Lord has brought us so far and taught us so much.
