I made it to 2011, it feels like such an accomplishment.
Happy New Year!
Thinking over this year here are some snapshots of things that shaped my life in 2010:
* Finished a decade
* Directed our church's food pantry
* Had a friend move in with us for the first part of the year
* Made three trips to California
* Road tripped to New Mexico, in the middle of the night, with no sleep. Made it there alive.
* Saw my great grandmother move away to Germany after much turmoil
* Rebecca got accepted to BCOM in Minnesota and moved away
* Took Crown Life Financial class
* Got accepted to work as an M-Fuge track leader for Fuge camps in Glorieta, New Mexico
* Parents celebrated 25 years of marriage
* Quit my job of 4 years on April 28th
* Had the best summer ever, made some life long friends
* Anna headed into her senior year of high school- I am getting too old
* Visited 3 countries
* Spent 4 months living and learning in another country
* Celebrated my grand birthday- turned 23 on the 23rd of June- again, old.
* Saw more famous sites this year than maybe EVER before in my life (Eiffel tower, Mona Lisa, 7 churches of revelation, Trevi Fountain just to name a few)
* Spent more consecutive hours on an airplane than I thought humanly possible
* Rachel took over my old job at the bank
* Said goodbye to the food pantry crew
* Learned parts of a new language!
* Met some of the most incredible people that I hope to be a part of my life for a long time
* Decided to go back to school this year
* Lost our first dog- Lucy
* Had my worldview and life purpose completely re-shaped
* Fell in LOVE with a whole new culture
* Got accepted to work as Site Director for Fuge 2011 in Glorieta, New Mexico
* Made it back to America to spend the holidays with my family and friends
These are just a few things that happened this year. 2010 has truly been the best year of my life. I have learned so much and the Lord has really changed a lot about who I am and where He wants me to go. Looking back over the decade that we just finished is incredible. At the start I was just 13 years old and since than so much has happened. I can not wait for the decade that lies before us to unfold. There are great things in store, I can just feel it.
