Moments. Moments in life that you will remember forever. They don't always happen very often, especially with how crazy life can get. But, when they do happen it's important to take note. To lock them into your memory, to be sure you will remember them forever.
A couple of Saturdays ago I had one of these moments. Some of my most dear friends hosted a Bridal Shower in my honor. It was absolutely wonderful. For me this time was not just about celebrating the life that Zach and I are beginning together but it was also time to fellowship with women who have impacted my life over the past 15 years. Women from all walks of life who have set Godly examples for me of how to live and act, how to speak and serve, how to love and be a wife. At one point during the shower I looked around knowing that save our wedding, this may be the last time I see some of these women for a long time.
So thankful to be surrounded by love. So thankful to have been a member of a church body who diligently shows what it looks like to be a family in Christ. So thankful for the men, women and families who have paved the way for me to march ahead into the great unknown.
Grateful for the moments these people have created in my life and that they shared another with me on this day. They will be truly missed.
