Happy One Month (...a little late)

At the end of July Zach and I celebrated our 1 month anniversary of being married! Anna has inspired me to celebrate every month anniversary the first year of our marriage. Month 1 fell on a Monday and Zach actually ended up working most of that day and as it was we both had phone dates scheduled with a couple of our friends that evening. I really had nothing planned until a great idea popped into my mind that evening!

Homemade Turkish dessert waffles! 

Now because I thought of this idea at around 9 pm we had to quickly run to the store to grab some nutella, because no dessert waffle is complete without it. We didn't quite have all the toppings I wanted but for sake of "self control" we decided to just use what we had on hand. And I may or may not have made a mess along the way.... 

Whoops! That's what you get for being too excited to share your international cuisine with your husband, last minute, on your anniversary at 9 o'clock. But, it was fun and delicious!  A great way to mark the beginning of this tradition. 

Happy 1 month Mr. Haffecke! I love you more today than I did on our wedding day. Thanks for being a wonderful husband and my bestest friend.
