The holidays are here!

This year I am so stinking excited for the Thanksgiving and Christmas. I can't believe they are almost here. The last half of this year seems to have just flown by.

I can't wait to start some traditions of our own. My mind is often overwhelmed with all the many possibilities. I walk through the store wishing I had money to adorn our home with glowing candles surrounded by beautiful nativities and a huge live Christmas tree decked out from tip to stump
with the most glorious decorations to be found.

But, alas, we are not rich. In fact this Christmas will probably be very simple as the amount of Christmas decorations we own are stored in one box in a closet somewhere.

Our home will be filled with love though. To the brim. For each other, for our families, for our newest addition- Watson. It will be filled with the love of the Lord and focused on the birth of Christ more than all else. I aim to start some new Haffecke family traditions, which is a weird thing to think about!
I want it to be perfect and
I want our family to look forward
to this season with joyous anticipation every year.

To start out this fall/winter season we carved some fall pumpkins... because Halloween is not a holiday.

Love having fun with my man!
