We love Kansas City, truly. We are so grateful to be here and for this season of life. Things are thriving in this city for us. Even Zach is loving the city! He never doubted this. But, secretly, I did...just a little. I mean the traffic, the people, the fast pace of this place. It is a far cry from the life of a small town life Maryville. But he loves it. People have asked us a few times if we moved because of me. Big-city girl Sarah. But, no. We did not move because of me. If anything I was the more hesitant of the two of us. But honestly, so grateful that we are here.
The Lord has been faithful and we both have awesome jobs in... insurance..... who would have ever thought?! But we are loving \our jobs. We both work in Kansas, just a handful of blocks from each other. So, we get to carpool together every day. This allows us to start and end our work days with one another. We get to spend the first half of our morning trek in God's Word as we do family devotions in the car. What a blessing is that?
This a good place to be. My heart is full.
Since living here we have:
- Started new jobs
- Purchased our first car together... a 2013 Dodge Dart (which we love)
- Experienced some of the joys of living in a home versus an apartment: Such as painting, lawn work, having a back yard and more space to grow.
- Celebrated as my mother in law is victoriously living post chemotherapy
- Zach completed his internship and is an official Northwest Grad (woohoo!)
- Joined a gym in attempt to get back in shape (Marriage ruins your body... just kidding... but really)
- Joined our families in times of transition as Hannah started her second year of school, Anna started attending CBU, Rachel got married to our new brother Matt and my parents began to take care of my Aunt Kay.
- Spent our weekends exploring and DOING things. Farmers markets, baseball games, shopping and parks.
We like it. Life is good.
