Day 11

November 11th, 2010: Today Anna and I spent our morning picking up a friend from the airport. Today was also our 13 week mark in our time here- oddly enough we have spent many of our "week anniversaries" in the airport. Every time I go back to the airport it is a reminder of how far the Lord has brought us in our stay here. I remember standing in the airport in the middle of August- day1-feeling completely exhausted, overwhelmed, jet lagged and having no idea what our time would hold. It is wonderful to go back to our starting place and feel confident in our role here. The airport is where we started this journey 13 weeks ago and the airport is where we will end it in 5 weeks.

Thank of the day: Today I am thankful for the warm and comfortable bed that I woke up in this morning. Every where I go- in my neighborhood in Las Vegas, down on the strip, in New Mexico where I lived this summer and across the world there is poverty, hurt and need. It is all around us and God's Word tells us we will never be without it. Today I am so thankful for the safe house I live in, the food that He has provided me with for today and the warm bed to sleep in. I am blessed.
