Finished!

My husband of almost a year, which is a crazy thought all in itself, is finally finished with school! Can I get a glory, hallelujah!? What joy has come with this season of our lives coming to a close. I have never known my spouse outside of college and we have been oh so ready for this time to finally get here. It is wonderful to not have to plan our days around a class schedule and projects. We are overjoyed with the possibility of beginning to pursue what God has ordained for us next. 

But as happy as we are that school if over every great milestone deserves a celebration- so celebrate we did! My wonderful family, all 4 of them!, came for a long weekend with us. It was fantastic. During their stay here we galavanted all over Kansas City. We spent lots of time talking, laughing and just plain being with one another. My heart was full with their presence. I knew that I missed them but having them here with us just solidified that even more. 

Maybe one day the distances between us won't be so far. Or, maybe they will be even further. Only God knows that. For now we cling to the memories we make while we are together. We take advantage of modern technology like texting and Skypying. And, we rack up those frequent flyer miles. I am so blessed to have such awesome family on all sides. So grateful we could share this milestone with them.
