Day 3

Jehovah Jireh {God our Provider}

There is not a single season in my life that I can look back at and say that the Lord has not been my constant source of Provision. From seasons where  my cup was overflowing to seasons where I wasn't sure what God had in store next He has ALWAYS been there. Always provided for my every need- and even, a lot of the times, allowed for some of my wants. I stand in awe of that.

We can see this truth sprinkled all throughout his Word: 

God providing for His chosen people in every way as he moved them to the Promised Land 

{Let's be honest- All of Exodus}

The Lord providing a fish to swallow Jonah- sometimes provision doesn't look the way we think it should {Jonah 1:17}

Provision of protection given to faithful servants- Shadrach, Meshach and Adendego {Daniel 3:19-30}

Jesus providing sight to the blind {John 9} and allowing the lame to walk {Luke 5:17-26} 

Provision of God's Word- a light to my path {Psalm 119:10} 

The Ultimate Provision: God's sacrifice to cover our sin {John 3:16} 

These are just a few of the overwhelming number of examples in God's Word the show how He provides for His people. Lord, whatever my worries are help me to lay them at your feet. Thank you for your Word that proves over and over that you are a God who Provides.
